2009 TNT Speedway General Track Rules for Everyone!

1.  The following rules include or are in addition to the WISSOTA Rules which all participants at TNT Speedway are required to abide by. 

 

ALL CLASSES WILL BE LINED UP ACCORDING TO THE WISSOTA POINT AVERAGE SYSTEM.  POINTS IN ALL CLASSES WILL BE AWARDED TO THE DRIVER.

 

2.  The rules and regulations set forth herein are designed to provide for the orderly conduct of racing events and to establish minimum acceptable requirements for such events. These rules will govern the condition of all TNT Speedway events, and by participating in these events, all TNT Speedway members are deemed to have complied with these rules. NO EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM PUBLICATIONS OF OR COMPLIANCE WITH THESE RULES AND\OR REGULATIONS. They are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and in no way guarantee against injury or death to a participant, spectator or official.  The race director shall be empowered to permit minor deviation from any of the specifications contained herein or impose any further restrictions that in his or her opinion do not alter the minimum acceptable requirements.  NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM SUCH ALTERATION OF SPECIFICATIONS.  Any interpretation or deviation of these rules is left to the discretion of the officials.  THEIR DECISIONS ARE FINAL.

 

3.  All drivers are responsible for registering their car.  Draw cutoff time is 6:30 P.M. Anyone arriving after the cutoff will start in the back.  HOT LAPS ARE AT 7:00 and RACING AT 7:45 p.m.

 

4.  No one under the age of fourteen (14) will be allowed in the pits.  Drivers and Pit Crew between the ages of 14 and 18 must have a consent\release form signed by their parents.  They are available at the track and NO ONE between 14 and 18 years old is allowed in the pits without a signed consent\release form at any time.   EVERYONE entering the pits MUST sign the Release form at the pit shack.  ANYONE found in the pit area without having signed the Release form will be banned from the pit area for ONE WEEK minimum.  PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU AND YOUR CREW ALL SIGN IN AT THE REGISTRATION AREA.

 

5.   Fighting will not be tolerated.  All drivers are held responsible for the conduct of their crew members and will be dealt with accordingly by the officials.  Anyone going to another driver's pit area or car to argue or fight may face suspension.  Per 1.11.1 and 1.11.2 in the WISSOTA Rule Book:  DRIVER RESPONSIBILITY – The driver is responsible for the actions of his/her pit crew in all respects.  The driver shall be the sole spokesperson for his/her car owner or crew member in all matters and must talk with the track official in charge regarding their conduct or behavior.  FIGHTING – Any participant directly involved with any fighting or misconduct at any WISSOTA sanctioned event (TNT Speedway)….may be fined up to $500.00, maybe be suspended for up to two weeks…shall forfeit points and prize money….ect.  Decisions of officials are final.  FIGHTING WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.

 

6.  No driver may stop his car on the track to argue or discuss the race with the starter or officials.  Violation may result in disqualification from that event, suspension, and\or fines, according to the decision of the official.

 

7.  Verbal or physical abuse of any official, such as improper language, striking an official, etc., will result in immediate suspension and fines.

 

8.  No beer or alcoholic beverages allowed in pits until after the entire race program is completed.  Use of any intoxicating beverage by any driver, pit crew, family, friend, etc.. is prohibited during the entire race program.  Anyone found violating this rule will be removed from the pit area immediately, lose points and money for that night, and face a 30 day suspension.  This is in addition to the penalties imposed by WISSOTA for this infraction.

 

9.  IDLING SPEED ONLY IN THE PITS AND ON EXIT ROAD TO PITS.  This rule will be strictly enforced.  At no time should driver be over an idling speed while in the pits or on the road exiting the track and leading to the pits.  Idling speed only also applies to any other areas than the race track itself.  Excessive speed, erratic driving, etc., is not allowed and you will be disqualified for the night and lose all points and money for the night.  PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!

 

10.  Waste oil receptacles will be provided in the pits, and all oil and lubricants need to be deposited here.  At no time shall anyone discard used oil products on TNT Speedways premises.  Anyone found violating this rule will be fined not less than $100.00 and be held responsible for clean up.

 

11.  ALL DRIVERS MUST PACK THE TRACK FOR THE SAME AMOUNT OF TIME.  RACE VEHICLES ONLY TO PACK, NO SENDING CARS OR TRUCKS TO PACK FOR YOU. After the first announcement has been made to pack the track drivers will have ten minutes to be on the track to pack, and will continue to pack until let off the track by official.  A driver who fails to pack the track, or fails to be on the track within said 10 min. time frame, will start in the back of the heat race that night.  

 

12.  Drivers meetings will be held at the line-up board and all drivers are required to attend.

 

13.  Drivers line-ups will posted behind the pit spectator area, and you are responsible for knowing your position. You must be lined up for your event when the white flag is thrown on the race in progress.  If not lined up and ready when the parade lap starts, you will start in the back.

 

14.  DO NOT GET OUR OF YOUR CAR ON THE RACE TRACK, EXCEPT IN THE EVENT OF FIRE OR IMMEDIATE DANGER TO YOU BY STAYING IN THE CAR.   An official will notify you when it is OK to exit your car. NO PIT CREW MEMBERS ALLOWED ON TRACK AT ANYTIME DURING A RACE. 

 

15.  TNT Speedway reserves the right to refuse entry of any car, driver, pit crew member, fan, or any person. Cars entered must be considered safe in order to race. Any unsafe conditions noted by officials either before or during a race could result in that car being scratched or black flagged. 

 

16.  Any cars causing a re-start will be put to the back.  Any car moving out of position before the green flag is thrown will be penalized two positions and points at the payout window.

 

17.  On re-starts the first lap will be re-started under the original line-up, except any car or cars causing a caution on the first lap will be put to the back.  Any additional re-starts will be done single file.

                                                                                                     

18.  Any driver causing two re-starts or cautions will be disqualified from that race. 

 

19.  No intentional stoppage of a race.  You will be disqualified from that race.

 

20.  Stinger and Bomber feature races will have a 20 minute time limit. Wissota classes will have a 25 minute time limit.

 

21.  There will be no tire changes allowed during a heat race.  If you get a flat, go into the pits or the infield so as to not stop the race.

 

22.  TIRE CHANGES - FEATURE RACE:  You may change a tire at any time during the feature race on pit row only.  You may not intentionally stop the race (see rule #19). You must enter the pits in turn 3 and exit in turn 3, If violated you will be black flagged.

 

23.  PITTING IN THE PITS DURING FEATURE:  Pit Road is located outside turn 3.  All cars must enter the pit road in turn 3 only and exit in turn 3. Drivers must wait for the official’s signal before re-entering the track.  All Pitting must be done at the main entrance to the track, which is the designated pitting area.  NO PITTING ALLOWED AT THE TRAILERS!!!!!!   You will be disqualified.

 

24.  In the event that all four tires of any one car enters the infield during a race and that car gains a position, the car will be disqualified. YOU MAY NOT USE THE INFIELD TO PASS.  You may not race in the infield.  If you spin and go into the infield on your own, you must drive slowly to an entrance on the track.  If you choose to speed to get back on the track, YOU WILL BE BLACK FLAGGED.  If you are in the infield because of an accident or have been pushed in, the caution will be thrown and officials will line-up the cars for a re-start.  Driver in the infield should let the official know as soon as possible whether or not they can continue to race, so as not to stop a race.  Always drive as far off the track as possible to stay out of danger.

 

25.  There will be no pitting allowed during heat races.  We will not hold up the race for any driver or car entering pit row.  When you enter the pit row you automatically go to the rear of the pack.  When you enter the pits you are done for that race.

 

26. In the event of a YELLOW FLAG all drivers are expected to go to the front straight of the track (spectator side) and STOP and wait for an official to assign you your restart position.

 

27.  If you are shown the MOVE OVER FLAG (Blue with Yellow Stripe) – you MUST, as soon as it is safe and clear, move to the top of the track.

 

28.  No Two Way Radios of any kind allowed.  This means in the Pits, Cars or Grandstand.

 

29.  If there is an accident or caution after the lead driver has taken the white flag, the race will end and be scored to the last completed lap.  In the event that a driver spins themselves out on this lap, he or she will be scored in the position that they cross the finish line.  Cars involved in the accident or caution will be scored according to any penalties that may apply. 

 

30.  The leader of the race is protected at TNT Speedway, if you attempt to “take him or her out”, you will be disqualified.

 

31.  Drivers, PLEASE, most of the time, you know where you are at in a race, and when a caution is thrown, PLEASE help us to put on a good show and get back into your position quickly.

 

32.  All cars must have a place to hook up front and rear without removing hood or trunk.
